Just sold partner's fiesta 1.0 ecoboost. I know to many vehicles that have gone bang without notice , and mk8 fiesta. The fiesta has got full history from me and every 6 months an extra oil and filter. Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost 125 2022 first drive; Refinement is generally good, although our test car had some wind whistle from the top of the driver's door at motorway speeds; the lack of any "I ordered a Ford Focus Active X 1.5 Ecoboost prior to the Covid crisis. Ford have now informed the dealer that the specification will be changed to a 1.0 mild hybrid ecoboost without explanation. The dealer hasn't been very helpful, suggesting that the 1.5 Ecoboost is no longer available. Any ideas what might be going on here? according to dvla it still should be £30. strange. edit, just checked auto trader and yes, 125hp was £20 on later ones and performance was supposed to be slightly better 0-60 though. and my bluefin 100 will without any doubt whip the 1.5 150hp ecoboost into submission. 1. I've only driven Fiestas with the 1.0L Ecoboost and I found them to be miserable, the same engine in a Focus would be grim and much more stressed out. I think for £7k you can do a lot better than a 1.0L Focus. I would probably rather have a 100k mile Mazda 3 with the 2.0L petrol engine over a 70k mile Focus with the 1.0L Ecoboost.
It's a good engine a good fit for the Focus. Has more character than the 1.5 ecoboost imo. My parents had 3 great years with their 1.0 Focus estate, they only changed to a Kuga as they want to tow. Please don't buy one without test driving though. Any Ford dealer should have a 1.0 Focus for you to try as they are so popular.
197 months. [report] [news] Monday 18th July 2016. My other half an I test drove the 1.0 Ecoboost engine and a 1.6tdci in the Ford Focus. For driving alone the diesel was a nicer engine. The yj18b.
